I have so many challenges up now, that I've split them into three different
categories. Please note that the challenge numbers on each page won't
necessarily be in order, so take note of the challenge number you are taking,
when you write to me (they'll be numbered in the order of which they went up on
the site). The newest challenges will remain on this page, and then be moved to
their normal pages with the next update.

If you're taking any of the challenges here, please send me an email letting me know.
If you use any of the challenges here, you are giving me permission to post the story here at Chemistry, therefore you need to send me an email letting me know you're taking it, and where I can find it when you're finished. (you can send me a link, or send the fic in an email.)
When you write the story, you must state in the Author Note's at the beginning that it's from a challenge here at Chemistry. You don't have to put which number, but it might be helpful to someone else out there who's reading it. If you don't put which number, you need to at least state who sent the challenge in. If there's not someone listed in black beside the challenge number, it was my own challenge, so credit falconcranelove.
One-Shots - Long Fics - Drabbles
CHALLENGE EIGHT
Kim and I came up with this challenge during an IM convo,
so credit goes to her as well.
Remember the god-awful sweater that Sky wore in Resurrection? Well, in
this fic (or scene of a fic if you'd like to just add it in to one you're
already workin on) Syd walks down the hall and sees Sky wearing the awful
thing again, and takes immediate action; she grabs him by the arm and hauls
him to his room to change. You're challenge is to write the exchange between
them while Syd goes through his closet looking for different clothes. This
can be funny, sweet, sexy, between just friends, or them as a couple. Your
choice.
CHALLENGE NINE
Inspired by AnaElise’s fic Secrets.
Sydney has a tattoo in an area that no one should see, on a daily basis. Where,
and what it is, is up to you. Sky accidentally sees it. *EG* How he sees it, and
his reaction is up to you. Does Syd know that he saw it (if so, what’s her
reaction?), or is it all from Sky’s POV?
CHALLENGE TEN Also
inspired by AnaElise’s fic Secrets.
Remember Dru’s comment in Idol about Sky being “wild and wacky”? What if
Sky had a little memento from those “wild and wacky” days? What is it? Where is
it? How does Sydney see it, and what does she think of it? Could be fun to get
Syd to get the story out of Sky on how he got whatever it is he has. :D
CHALLENGE ELEVEN
Bridge is badly hurt, and Sky comforts Syd, who’s upset about their best friend.
Can be just a “best friends” type of fic, or they can be a couple. But I really
think that these three share a bond, that differs from the one the whole team
has, after being together for a while. You don’t go through all that with each
other, and NOT have one.
CHALLENGE TWELVE (kinda two different fics, but I'm posting it together)
Wootox Related:
What if Wootox had actually done more to Syd when he was in her room, than just
look at her? What if he’d said something nasty, or tried to hurt her? How would
Syd act around Sky after that happened? What would Sky’s reaction be after
finding out? How would their relationship change; their friendship survive?
-OR-
What if he had grabbed Syd during their fight at the end when it was revealed
who he was, and did something to her? What would Sky’s reaction be to having
“seen himself” hurt Syd in some way? What would Syd’s reaction to Sky be like
after having “him” hurt her? On one level, they would both realize that it
wasn’t *really* Sky, but would they really be able to just forget it?
CHALLENGE THIRTEEN
(kinda two different fics, but I'm posting it together)
Being the best friends they are, Sky goes to Syd for help when he realizes he
“likes” someone. He wants advice on how to get her to like him, how to ask her
out, etc. During their “lessons”, Sky comes to realize that it’s not really this
other girl he likes, but Syd.
-OR-
The flip side of that, Syd asks Sky's help trying to get a certain guy to notice
her, and ends up realizing it's Sky she wants.
CHALLENGE FOURTEEN
As a big fan of MMPR, I miss the days of body-swaps, kidnappings, and the
Rangers being turned “evil”. Didn’t it seem that Kimberly was always getting
kidnapped, and Tommy had to save her? Or Tommy was being turned evil? LOL I
don’t think they did enough of that during SPD. LOL I’d love a good ole fic
where one of them has one of the above done, and the other has to “save” them.
(yes, I know that there are fics out there like this, but I think there could
definitely be more done. J )
CHALLENGE FIFTEEN
During a battle, either Sky or Syd is hurt pretty badly (you choose
which one). When they wake up, they have amnesia, and can’t remember any of
their friends. How do the others help them to remember (if they ever do -that could be an interesting take too.
What if they never did remember their past? How would that affect not only their
future life, but their future as a Power Ranger?)? What happens when that
person falls in love with the other, during their recovery?
CHALLENGE SIXTEEN
Syd and Sky have to go undercover for a mission. Their cover has them
posing as a married couple. They have to play the part convincingly, which is
hard considering the fact that they’re barely friends, but they do. During the
course of the mission, they start to realize that they don’t dislike the other
as much as they thought. In fact… they’re rather fond of each other. You choose
how long the mission lasts; weeks, months, year(s)? And what happens after the
mission? Do they go back to being the “barely friends” that they were, or do
they become more than that?
CHALLENGE SEVENTEEN
I’d love to see some pre-series fics (no Jack and Z) with Bridge, Sky and Syd.
I’d love to see the way they interact with each other when they first meet, and
how they become the “best friends” that we all know they did become. ;) And
yeah, these don’t necessarily have to have Sky and Syd “couply” or one of them
crushing on the other one... they can simply be them becoming best friends, cuz
I think that’s what would make them as a couple work best in the end. I feel
that the strongest relationships start out with the couple being best friends.
So, here are some ideas for those type of fics:
- Syd finds out it’s Bridge’s Bday and tries to throw him a little “party”. She
asks Sky for help, since they’re roomies. And while Sky’s not really eager to
help, she’s able to convince him to, and they work together to throw him a nice
party.
- Syd asks Sky for some extra help with some kind of training (you decide what
kind) that she’s just not getting the hang of. What happens when they have to
spend some “quality time” together? They just might find that the other’s not
quite what they thought.
- The reverse of the previous challenge. What if Sky couldn’t get the hang of
some computer program, and asks Syd for help. (Isn’t she supposed to be their
computer expert?) Would it help him to see her as more than the “princess” that
everyone thinks she is?
CHALLENGE EIGHTEEN
What if Sky had a crush on Syd when she came to SPD? She was a famous
model/singer/Olympian, so she would have had her pics scattered in enough places
that Sky would have seen them. And he *is* a guy; he wouldn't have been
completely oblivious about her.
How does his crush on her affect the way he treats her? Would he be nicer to
her, or have more a a problem dealing with her? And what comes of his crush;
does Syd ever find out, or does he get over the "crush" as they become friends?
I've already had one taker on this challenge, but she's
told me to go ahead and post the challenge anyway, so that someone else might be
